Adaptors/Chargers

We all travel with a variety of chargers and adaptors these days … a handy way to keep them together is in a sturdy good sized ”ziplok” bag – I used the one that came as a freebie from a Virgin flight … you don’t have to hunt around for them when they go walkabout in your case and the bag is waterproof

Internet at Zurich airport

If you don’t have access to the lounge at Zurich airport in Switzerland and you need to search online etc here is a quick tip that helps you there.

All airport-related information, e.g. flight schedules, arrivals, departures, parking, public transport, etc., are free.

www.flughafen-zurich.ch (airport info, flight schedule, airport shopping)

www.zvv.ch (regional public transport information)

www.sbb.ch (train schedule)

Init Seven AG has quick access log-in without registration 24 hours for CHF 4.90 .

Swisscom has hot-spot log-in with slightly dearer tariffs: 30 min for CHF 5.0; 3 hours for CHF 15.

It does however depend on which Gate you are sitting at.

‘Earphone tidy’ – cable storage

Have you ever lost your pouch for your earphones? Have you found yourselves taking ages to untangle your cable on the plane or going to the gym?
Well, the ultimate cheap solution is ideal for MP3 and portable radio listeners. Simply wind the cable around the outer edge of the unit and secure the earpieces at either side. Keep one in your handbag / gym bag / luggage. It is an absolute bargain at £2.

Flowers at dinner

Do you like getting a flower after dinner? If your answer is yes, there are two absolutely gorgeous restaurants in Italy and in Hungary that you must try.

1.       Ristorante Serafino

Via Giacomo Matteotti 818010 Cervo Imperia, Italy

The village of Cervo

First of all, I was warmly welcomed by the hostess and shown to a lovely table and introduced me the owner. The owner who’s look like a tipycal Italian man (sun tanned, frendly and open-minded) said that: here the oil is still made by cold pressing the olives and the wine is made with grapes. As for the fish, I catch them morning from the sea, not in the deep-freezer. And was it true? Let’s see! I ordered tuna with avocado, lemon and tiny jam for my starter.  I was surprised that they worked so nicely because I have never eaten them in this way before.

The taste was amazing, absolutely perfect! For my main course I ordered fresh sea fish (I don’t remember what type of) with baked vegetables and potatoes.  It was really fresh and tasty. After my fantastic dinner I received a beautiful flower from  the owner. So it was a perfect dinner with surprise!

The second one restaurant is Taverna Dionysos – „the atmosphere of a beautiful Greek village in the heart of the city”- is located in Budapest, Hungary.

I have been lots of times there, the perfect lunch or dinner is guaranteed by Greek owner and a professional team. There is a huge selection of starters,  seafood, vegetarian dishes,  pot-roasts and baked dishes, barbecues and desserts. And of course, I received a beautiful red rose after my dinner. :)

1056 Budapest, Belgrád rkp. 16.
